Our Mission: "McLaren Bay Medical Foundation raises funds and supports McLaren Bay Region and McLaren Bay Special Care in their mission of improving the health of the communities they serve."
The cornerstone for McLaren Bay Medical Foundation was laid in 1972 when citizens in the community raised $3 million to build the nucleus of Bay Medical Center. In 1979, Bay Medical Foundation was established as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. Today, the Foundation's Board of Trustees is made up of 28 community members who volunteer their time and expertise. They establish policy and make decisions regarding use of funds throughout McLaren Bay Region and McLaren Bay Special Care, our extended-stay acute hospital.
Several standing committees are responsible for seeking funds from various sources, assuring funds are appropriately invested and allocated, and that donors are properly acknowledged with regard to their contributions.
You can impact your health care system right here at home. Your support of McLaren Bay Region is important to keeping high-quality health care available for all.
Charitable giving is a uniquely personal statement. It can be your way of showing what you consider to be important in the world.
