<b>Position Summary:</b><BR>
Utilizing advanced customer service skills, acts as part of the team of caregivers by functioning as the initial point of contact for patients. Greets patients and their families in a friendly manner and creates a positive first impression. Performs clerical and receptionist duties to support the unit. Provides patient registration duties. Provides limited, simple nursing care to patients under specified conditions.<BR>
<BR>
<b>Required Education/Experience:</b><BR>
1. Advanced education/training beyond high school in a related program (MA/Medical Receptionist, Medical Secretary, or <b>Health Unit Coordinator/Unit Clerk course</b>).<BR>
2. Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm.<BR>
3. 85% proficiency score on medical terminology test. <BR>
<BR>
<b>Preferred Education/Experience:</b><BR>
1. Previous experience or training as a unit clerk.<BR>
2. Experience with Polci scheduling system - P.A.T.<BR>
3. BLS certification.<BR>
4. Previous billing experience.<BR>
