						<td class="metadetail"><i><b>We are searching for an Assistant Nurse Manager for our PACU - Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit.</b></i><BR>
<BR>
<b>Operating Room Profile:</b><BR>
* Elective procedures Monday - Saturday, 1st and 2nd shift<BR>
* 24/7 service for urgent/emergent cases<BR>
* 12 major suites<BR>
* 1 cysto room<BR>
* 1 procedure room<BR>
* Comprehensive surgical care in all specialties except transplant: General, Bariatric, ENT, Neuro, Ortho, Vascular, Urology, Plastic/Reconstructive, Ophthalmology, Thoracic, Cardiac, and Robotic<BR>
* Up to date technology to assist and enhance the team's expertise - including the only facility in the area to offer robotic surgery and cochlear implants<BR>
* All suites equipped for minimally invasive procedures<BR>
* Pre-op Care Unit to support the preparation of Inpatients and Outpatients with 31 bays<BR>
* Phase 1 recovery with 21 bays<BR>
* Phase 2 discharge area for ambulatory/outpatients (located in the Pre-op Care Unit)<BR>
<BR>
<b>Position Summary:</b><BR>
Assumes accountability in assigned shift for coordination and facilitation of patient flow and processes in collaboration with Patient Care Team members. Assumes day to day operational role of lead for patient care delivery team. Responsible to see that the nursing plan of care meets the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patients served. Directs patient care through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Assists in the coordination of patient care through the appropriate utilization of all resources: staff, equipment, supplies, etc. As an expert in the assigned unit, is a resource person to both medical center staff and physicians. Weekend and holiday call as necessary. Variable hours as necessary.<BR>
<BR>
<b>Required Education/Experience</b><BR>
Posses degree in Nursing and licensed to practice in the State of Michigan. Posses 2 years of clinical acute care experience and demonstrated clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, decision-making and analytical abilities necessary to coordinate emergency care delivery throughout shift. Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize work, delegate to others, communicate with culturally diverse population, and facilitate processes to insure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.<BR>

<b>Preferred Education/Experience:</b><BR>
1.  Certified in Unit specialty Organization<BR>
2.  Bachelors degree<BR>
3.  Minimum 1-3 years of demonstrated leadership performance</td>
