Minimum Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited program for Physical Therapist Assistants.
Valid Michigan driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
Preferred:
One year experience in rehabilitation and chronic disabilities.
Primary Duties
The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing physical therapy services to homebound patients in accordance with agency policies, and under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The physical therapy plan of care is provided under the direction of the attending physician by the supervising physical therapist and is carried out by the PTA in conjunction with the family, nurse and/or other responsible persons as necessary. The PTA works under the supervision of the Therapy Coordinator and in coordination with other agency health care personnel.
