Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, a McLaren Health System member, is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the role of Mammography Technician.
To be considered for the position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiology program.
Registered with the A.R.R.T. Advanced registry in Mammography. Advanced registry in Breast Ultrasound preferred.
Certified in CPR.
Must have a least 3 years of prior Mammography Technician experience.
Extensive knowledge of the principles of radiography including radiation safety procedures.
Knowledge in performing cyst aspiration, ultrasound guided breast biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy, pre-operative breast mass localization, and ductography. Extensive knowledge in Digital Mammography QA, QC, MQSA requirements, and State rules and regulations.
Primary Duties
Exercises technical supervision over assigned staff. Responsible for QA and QC program and assures accreditation with regulatory agencies.
Performs diagnostic and screening exams and interventional procedures.
Plans and coordinates daily activities of the clinical site.
Orientation for new employees, and additional training for current employees when needed.
Super-user of PACS; provides support to PACS Administrator for breast imaging procedures.
Develops policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
