Graduate of an approved school of Nursing. Experience based on the requirements of the assigned units.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to evaluate and adjust to ever-changing unit situations. Has general knowledge of all areas of nursing practice.
Demonstrates mature judgment, initiative and proficiency in nursing skills. Competent in Chemotherapy (OPC only). Competent in Conscious Sedation (OPC and Pain Management). Competent in Wound Care (OPC only).
RN licensure required. BCLS required for all units, ACLS for required for certain units.
Primary Duties
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of patient care provided to an assigned group of patients. Indirecly supervises all nursing personnel assigned to the group of patients for whom he/she is coordinating.
