High School Graduate. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. One year CT experience required.
Extensive contact with patients, physicians, Medical Imaging staff and patients’ families. Periodic contact with other hospital staff. Must be capable of completing all routine diagnostic procedures. Ability to obtain intravenous access. Ability to prioritize and organize daily work flow.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills. Must become proficient in all areas in the CT department as set forth in the peer review orientation within ninety days from position date.
ARRT registry required. CT registered or eligible; must become registered within one year of position start date.
Primary Duties
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of CT procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed CT techniques for diagnosis.
