Associate degree in Health Information Mgmt, or a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Family Practice Coder (CFPC) and/or equivalent experience.
ICD-9-CM and CPT coding experience.
One year general office experience
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to type 35 wpm
Preferred:
Ambulatory Care, Home Care or Hospital Medical Records experience.
Status of RHIT/CPC/CFPC or eligibility for
OB Billing/Coding experience.
Primary Duties
Responsible for monitoring accuracy of documentation including diagnostic and surgical procedure codes, providing monitoring of daily scheduling, coding routers and charge entry for clinic and hospital billing processes. Organization and maintenance of routers, MSR reports and all related physician billing requests while following organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
