Primary Duties
Cardiac Catheterization Lab Profile:
* Consists of 5 labs, one of which is a combined lab for EP and Endovascular interventions.
* Cardiac interventions include: Heart Catheterization, Angioplasty, and Stent Insertions.
* Rhythm management - Pacemakers, ICDs, CRT.
* Involved in clinical research and new cutting edge technology.
Position Summary:
Responsible for all radiographic imaging, physiologic monitoring and recording, patient care and safety, and physician assistance in the performance of cardiac catherization procedures.
Required Education/Experience:
1. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Registered Radiological Technologist (RTR).
2. ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of three years of allied health experience in an acute care setting and Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, Radiology Specials, or Neuro Interventional Procedures experience required.
4. Registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist by Cardiovascular Credentialing International required within six (6) months of hire or transfer for graduates of CVT Associates program.
5. Registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialtist by Cardiovascular Credentialing International required within twenty-six (26) months of hire or transfer for Registered Radiological Technologists.
Preferred Education/Experience:
1. Previous experience working in an invasive cardiovascular environment.
