Established as a partnership between Michigan State University and McLaren Health Care, GLCI is advancing the science of cancer medicine through clinical research, innovative treatments, and world-class technologies, benefiting thousands of cancer patients throughout Michigan.  The GLCI-McLaren has recently earned a full three-year re-accreditation with commendation as a teaching hospital by the ACOS Commission on Cancer.  GLCI-McLaren also received commendation in the following areas: prevention and early detection, outcomes analysis, cancer-related improvements, quality of National Cancer Database data submission, and clinical trial accrual.  The program also participates in various national clinical trials, making these leading edge treatments available to patients.<BR>

<b>Position Summary:</b><BR>
Manages the work, assignments, schedules and functions of the Radiation Physicists and Dosimetrists. Performs all functions of a Radiation Physicist. Communicates with program Radiation Oncologists on a daily basis maintaining professional working relationships. Develops and recommends new program services and treatment alternatives. Serves as the primary point person regarding Medical Physics / Dosimetry billing.<BR>
<BR>
<b>Required Education/Experience:</b><BR>
1.  Masters Degree in Physics from an accredited college or university.<BR>
2.  Certification as a Medical Physicist by the ABR or the ABMP<BR>
3.  Five years clinical experience as a physicist in radiation oncology.<BR>
<BR>
<b>Preferred Education/Experience:</b><BR>
1.  Ph.D. in Physics</td>
