McLaren Health Care has been included on the 2023 list of “100 hospitals and health systems with great oncology programs” compiled by Becker’s Hospital Review. The health system has Michigan’s largest network of oncology centers, the Karmanos Cancer Network, anchored by the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit.
The list includes the premier providers of cancer care from across the country, many of which are National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Oncology Centers. The oncology programs provide novel treatments, conduct cutting-edge research, hold clinical trials, and uphold safety designations to improve patient outcomes.

The Karmanos headquarters has been an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center for 45 years, was the first in Michigan to receive this recognition, and holds the only NCI recognition in metro Detroit.
