McLaren Central Michigan Adds Several Specialists to Enhance Access to Care

McLaren Central Michigan, part of statewide McLaren Health Care and Isabella County’s leading health care provider, has reinforced its commitment to increasing access to high-quality specialty care within the community by adding four experienced specialists to its medical staff.

The newly added specialists bring expertise in providing care for a range of common conditions — specifically those of the heart and vascular system.

McLaren Central Michigan has added:

  • Dr. Marina Maraskine, interventional cardiologist
  • Dr. Yousef Bader, structural cardiologist
  • Dr. Soliman A. Soliman, electrophysiologist
  • Dr. Nicolas Mouawad, vascular surgeon

While also on the medical staff of McLaren Bay Region, each provider will maintain a regular clinical presence in Mount Pleasant, increasing the access of specialty care available in the community, resulting in shorter wait times for appointments and continuity of patient care.

Procedures will be performed at McLaren Central Michigan, however if an enhanced procedure room is required, arrangements will be made at McLaren Bay Region, though all pre- and post-procedure appointments will be in Mount Pleasant.

“The addition of these very skilled providers is very exciting for our organization and patients, and it represents a significant step in our objective of ensuring patients have convenient access to specialists in their home community,” said Robert David, McLaren Central Michigan President and CEO. “By adding to our staff and expanding the services we can provide the area, we are improving our patients overall experience and strengthen the health of the community we serve.”

Referrals for specialists are required. Appointments with the newly added cardiovascular providers can be made by calling (989) 894-3278.
