Description
The Karmanos Cancer Institute Office of Cancer Health Equity & Community Engagement (OCHECE) invites you to an upcoming seminar titled "Life Planning: Understanding Legal Documents That Can Help You Take Care of You and Your Family" on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 12 to 1 p.m.
A cancer diagnosis can often present a person with several legal challenges.
- Who will voice my medical decisions if I am unable to do so?
- Who will manage my bills when I am too tired from treatment?
- What documents can allow me to identify others to help me care for my children?
- What can I put in place to be sure, if something happens to me, that my property and possessions can be distributed to those I want to receive them?
Join Wayne State’s Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic (LAPC) as we discuss valuable information individuals diagnosed with cancer will want to consider as they move through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
