McLaren Caro Region is excited to announce the addition of Heather Fryers, FNP-BC to their team of providers. Heather began seeing patients on Monday, January 7, 2019 as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Caro Medical Clinic, 220 E. Frank Street.
Heather is no stranger to McLaren Caro Region (MCR). She has been a registered nurse at the hospital for almost 4 years and she served on the Nurse Improvement Team for 2 years. Before coming to MCR, Heather had 11 years of nursing experience at Fischer Senior Care & Rehab Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 and graduated from Purdue University with a Master of Science in Nursing, as a Family Nurse Practitioner in April, 2018.
Heather is thrilled to start practicing, saying, “I really enjoyed working in the hospital and will miss the team but I’m excited for this new adventure and I’ll still be able to work with them, just in a different aspect.” She added, “I really enjoy helping people be more proactive about their health. Taking care of patients is like solving a puzzle, listening to them and looking for the right clues to diagnose the problem. Once you have figured out what is going on, the next step is coming up with the best treatment options, taking into consideration the whole person.”
Heather resides in Mayville with her husband Joel and their two children, Emma and Gage. She will be seeing patients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am until noon.

He added, “we are very excited to have Heather join our team of providers. Her vast experience caring for our patients at the hospital and the fact that she has already been working closely with our entire staff, makes her a wonderful addition to the clinic.”
