McLaren Northern Michigan Welcomes Infectious Diseases Physician

McLaren Northern Michigan is pleased to welcome Quentin Doperalski, DO, to the Infectious Diseases service.

Dr. Doperalski received his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of California San Francisco – Fresno.

After his three year residency in Grand Blanc, Dr. Doperalski knew he wanted to practice medicine in Michigan. “My wife and I enjoyed many trips ‘up north’ and fell in love with the area,” he expressed. “Moving to Petoskey to practice was an easy decision. I am thrilled to work in a small community with access to high-level specialty services, yet only a few minutes away from nature and the Great Lakes!”

With a special interest in treating and caring for patients with endemic mycoses, HIV, Hepatitis C, as well as travel medicine, Dr. Doperalski will be a great addition to the expert care that is already provided. “The McLaren Northern Michigan Infectious Diseases group is very well respected,” stated Dr. Doperalski. “The providers have been on the forefront of antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention efforts for many year, before the efforts were mandated. The results of this are evident.”

“I love working as part of a multidisciplinary team with a unified goal – to enhance the quality of a patient’s life,” he added. “I enjoy getting to know my patients with a thorough health history and interview. Nothing is better than face time with my patients.”

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Doperalski enjoys fishing, hiking, exploring the vast wilderness of Michigan, and just relaxing at home with a good movie. He moved to the area with his wife Brittany and two dogs.
