McLaren Port Huron is recruiting an experienced Clinical Psychologist in Port Huron, Michigan for an exciting new position. This position will be a combination of clinical services and academic teaching within McLaren Port Huron Family Medicine Rural Track residency. As a core faculty member this position will be involved in residency guidance and teaching. A clinical appointment at Michigan State University Colleges of Human and Osteopathic Medicine will be offered.
This is a full-time opportunity with 60% clinical responsibilities and 40% academics. There are no call coverage needs. The position will include:
• Development and implementation of Behavioral Medicine curriculum for Family Medicine Residency following Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements.
• Provision of oversight for well-being programming for Graduate Medical Education
• Performance of clinical duties which could include Consultation Liaison inpatient, Integrative Primary Care, Integrative Cancer Care or Psychotherapy depending on site need.
• Assistance to resident physicians for scholarly inquiry projects (research and/or quality Improvement).
• Participation in system wide Academic Behavioral Health activities, including teaching for Clinical Health Psychology Post Doctoral Fellowship and/or Internship.
Two years’ experience in teaching in an ACGME residency program and completion of a Health Psychology post-doctoral fellowship are preferred. The selected candidate will require a license to practice Psychology in the state of Michigan.
