General Surgery with da Vinci

Numerous general surgery procedures can be completed with better outcomes and shorter recovery times. These include appendectomy, gall bladder, hernias and scar-less gallbladder surgery, and many others.

Your surgeon may recommend surgery when medication and lifestyle modifications have not reduced the associated pain, discomfort, or risk you’re experiencing.

Many general surgery procedures that can be completed at some of our McLaren hospitals using the da Vinci® surgical robot. They can include:

  • Appendectomy
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Gastrointestinal surgery
  • Hernias
  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
  • Single-incision cholecystectomy

If your physician has recommended surgery, be sure to ask if robotic surgery is right for you.
