Our 20 bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is conveniently located on McLaren Bay Region's West Campus. Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to promoting self-sufficiency and maximizing functional ability using patient-centered care. Patient-centered care involves advocating for the person's rights, empowering the patient to make decisions, and respecting the person's participation in decision-making. Persons served are actively involved in managing their rehabilitation and healthcare needs in partnership with the rehab team.
This program is accredited by *CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) as a Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Adults, and as a Stroke Specialty Program (Adults). Our Inpatient Rehab Unit is proud that we have had this accreditation for over 30 years.
*CARF accreditation represents the highest level that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation outcome has undergone a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality and are measurable and accountable. CARF Accreditation is an indication of our organization's dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence.
