Frank Cackowski, M.D., Ph.D., medical oncologist and member of the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, was named on the inaugural America’s Best Prostate Cancer Oncologists lists. The list is published by Newsweek, who partnered with Statista to rank the specialists.
The ranking lists the top 150 oncologists and urologists across the country who specialize in prostate cancer care. When ranking, Newsweek and Statista looked at data from four sources: Medicare data that showed physician performance, a survey completed online by thousands of medical experts, ratings by medical peers detailing the physicians’ quality-of-care, and the certification status of each physician to the American Board of Urology, Radiology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Cackowski is also the leader of the Karmanos Cancer Institute Translational Molecular Conference, a member of the Molecular Therapeutics Research Program at Karmanos, and an assistant professor and clinical scholar in the Department of Oncology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.
