McLaren Flint in the Community
McLaren Flint is a nonprofit hospital with deep community roots. We engage with a number of organizations to help further our efforts to provide exceptional health care services and improve the overall health and wellness of the community we serve.
Community Relations Policy
McLaren Flint gives careful consideration to requests for financial and in-kind support as they relate to our goals. Requests that fit within the hospital's mission, values, and our community relations objectives, and those brought for consideration from a member of the McLaren Family (caregivers, support staff, volunteers, etc.), will be given priority consideration.
To be considered, a request for support must meet the following criteria:
- The event/organization must directly benefit the hospital's service area of Genesee County and surrounding communities.
- The event/organization must be relevant to the perceived needs of the community.
- The event/organization should relate to one of the strategic health priorities identified by the community: Obesity and Health Behaviors, Mental Health, Child Health & Development, Access to Healthcare, Health Equity, Maternal & Infant Health, Effective Care Delivery for an Aging Population, and Social Determinants of Health.
- The requesting organization should have 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status or be a governmental agency or public institution.
- The goals of the event/organization should not duplicate efforts of other community organizations that the hospital supports.
- The hospital will not support any candidate, political organization or effort.
