Esteemed Local Artist Donates Paintings to Hospitality House at McLaren

Author: McLaren Flint

Genesee County painter Anni Crouter, pictured above with Doug Glazier, Vice President of the McLaren Foundation, recently donated two pieces of her artwork to the Hospitality House at McLaren. The larger painting is in the Hospitality House’s Reflection Room, and the smaller painting is in the hospice suite. Anni grew up in Flint and started painting at a very young age. Anni was raised on a farm, and her father was a veterinarian. Animals naturally became her subject matter then, and continue to be a focus of her life’s work. Her painting, “Polar Expressed,” a trio of three separate works each measuring 72 inches long by 48 inches high, won second place in the 2013 ArtPrize competition in Grand Rapids. To this day, she continues to be recognized both nationally and internationally for the art she creates in her Genesee County studio.
