The Orthopedic Surgery program trains at McLaren Oakland as well as:
Monthly journal clubs covering various topics in both landmark and current literature.
Michigan State University Statewide Campus System lecture series once a month.
Every Friday morning, a resident clinic is held at McLaren Oakland hospital, providing orthopedic care to those who are under-served in our community. One attending physician staffs the clinic along with the interns, 2nd or 3rd year residents who are in house, as well as a senior resident.
Applications for Orthopaedic Surgery rotations at McLaren Oakland are accepted through our online pre-application form. These rotations in Orthopaedic Surgery are for those who will be fourth year medical students at the time of the rotation. Each year in February, these pre-applications are accepted for the upcoming academic year.
Applicants should submit using the Electronic Resident Application Service (ERAS). This is the only avenue by which applications will be considered. Only complete applications will be reviewed.

The Residency program uses both objective and subjective criteria to select applicants. The Program Director and Selection Committee are responsible for selection and appointment of residents to the program. The application process meets all requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunity and the Americans with Disability Acts and does not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, religion, color, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran’s status.
Applications are reviewed by the program administrator and program director. Those selected with then be contacted by the academic administrator with an invitation to interview.
Applicants will be notified to interview by invitation ONLY. Orthopaedic Surgery interviews will be held virtually. All applicants will interview with the program director, along with any other faculty or residents the program director feels necessary. Details regarding the program will be sent out once an applicant has accepted and scheduled an interview.
Dr. Nallamothu received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994. He completed both his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University, McLaren Oakland. He has served as the program director at McLaren Oakland since 2015.
Dr. Bahu grew up in the Detroit area. He completed his medical education from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his Orthopedic Residency from McLaren Regional Medical Center and his shoulder & elbow fellowship from Columbia University- New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Brossy completed his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at Beaumont Farmington Hills Hospital. Dr. Brossy went on to do a fellowship in orthopedic trauma with The Orthopedic Trauma Specialists of Northern California, in Sacramento, CA.
Dr. Donahue received his doctorate in 1995 from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and continued with his residency through MSU at McLaren Oakland Hospital. He did fellowships in trauma and foot and ankle at UMC Las Vegas where he stayed on as an attending for a few years at their level 1 trauma center. He then went on to complete a spine fellowship at John's Hopkins University.
Dr. Grant completed his medical education at Wayne State University. He completed his orthopedic residency at William Beaumont Hospital.
Dr. Howard grew up in Oakland County. He is both a graduate of Lake Orion high school and Oakland University where he received a BS in biology. He then went on to earn his DO degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at McLaren Oakland hospital and furthered his training with a foot and ankle fellowship in Las Vegas, NV.
Dr. Ketner completed his medical education from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internship and Residency at Michigan State University and McLaren Oakland. Dr. Ketner also completed his fellowship of Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction from Detroit Medical Center.
Dr. Lemos attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin, where he completed his master’s degree and PhD as well. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Vermont and fellowship in sports medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic.
Dr. Limbert, originally from Council Bluffs, IA, completed his undergraduate training at Iowa State University. He is a third generation physician and received his medical degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Mt. Clemens. He continued to practice in the north Oakland County area and has been doing so for more than 30 years.
Dr. Mansour completed his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at McLaren Oakland. Dr. Mansour went on to do a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at the Detroit Medical Center.
Dr. Prince completed his undergraduate degree in Physiology at the University of Colorado. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. Dr. Prince completed his orthopedic surgery residency through Michigan State University at McLaren Oakland and the Detroit Medical Center. He completed fellowship training in Orthopedic sports medicine at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Rehman graduated from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993. She completed her orthopedic residency at Mount Clemens General Hospital (now McLaren Macomb). After residency, she completed a hand fellowship through Wayne State University and the DMC. She specializes in Hand Surgery.
Dr. Sardelli received his medical degree from Wayne State University in 2004. Orthopedic training from University of Utah in 2009 and went on to complete fellowship training in sports medicine at the TRIA institute/University of Minnesota in 2010.
Dr. Schroeder completed his medical education at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency of Orthopedic Surgery through University of Michigan, as well as completing a fellowship afterwards from the University of Colorado Affiliated Hospitals.
Dr. Siwiec is an orthopedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame and went on to study biophysics and physiology at Georgetown University. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University McLaren Oakland. Dr. Siwiec is fellowship trained in arthroscopy and sports medicine from the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama where he learned complex arthroscopic and open surgical techniques to treat injuries to the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle including joint reconstruction.
Dr. Ward completed his medical education at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine with Honors in Bioethics and Professionalism. He spent his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan, and his fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital.
