The certification is in recognition of McLaren Greater Lansing's Primary Stroke Center's dedication to providing quality care and achieving positive outcomes. Effective August 18, 2017, the certification was awarded for a two-year period.
The achievement was earned after rigorous onsite evaluation by reviewers with stroke expertise, ensuring the program met The Joint Commission’s standards for stroke-related care, which include program management, delivery of clinical care and performance improvement.
Certification is available only to acute-care hospitals already accredited by The Joint Commission.
