McLaren Health Care Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Justin Klamerus, for the second consecutive year, has been named a ‘CMO to Know’ by Becker’s Hospital Review.
Compiled annually, clinical leaders listed are those who “champion patient safety, uphold rigorous quality standards, act as liaisons between leadership teams and medical staff, manage risk” and strive for “continuous improvement.”
A leading industry publication covering all aspects of health care, Becker’s, in its characterization of Dr. Klamerus, wrote:
Dr. Klamerus serves as chief clinical officer for 13 hospitals systemwide, a role that requires him to lead clinical care with a single standard of quality and care across hospitals. He oversaw the expansion of the Karmanos Cancer Network and the opening of the system's first out-of-state location in Ohio. Under his leadership, the system has been recognized for clinical quality and safety, including two CMS 5-star rated hospitals. Dr. Klamerus has been with the system since 2009, when he joined as a practicing oncologist.
Congratulations, Dr. Klamerus!
