This week, Dr. Pratik Shah, an emergency physician at McLaren Macomb, reports:

Upper respiratory

Symptoms of cough, congestion and runny nose from an upper respiratory infection continue to present.

Gastro

After a couple weeks of low volumes, gastroenteritis and symptoms of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea have returned.

Ortho

With the arrival of warmer weather and increase in activities, minor orthopedic injuries have been trending up.

Influenza

Following a spike in flu A, cases have begun to taper off.
