One of just 51 National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer centers, Karmanos’ high level of care is found at the Ted B. Wahby Cancer Center on the campus of McLaren Macomb in Mount Clemens.

To maintain its NCI designation, all patients have access to Karmanos’ clinical trials, multidisciplinary teams of oncologists and exclusive treatment options, which include one of only two proton therapy centers in the state — McLaren Proton Therapy Center in Flint.
