McLaren Oakland Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Named to 2024 Hour Detroit Best of Senior Care List

Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, the McLaren Oakland-owned and operated 120-bed short-term rehab and long-term care facility, has been recognized as one of the best for seniors in Metro Detroit after being named to the 2024 Hour Detroit Best of Senior Care list.

In an effort to identify the region’s top retirement and senior care facilities, researchers evaluated publicly available and official data — sourced from the state and federal government — along with consumer ratings and feedback, and press reports. The resulting assessment was compiled into four merit-based, winning categories: nursing facility, home health, assisted living, and independent living.

Committed to residents regaining their independence as they recover from a significant and life-impacting health condition, such as a stroke, traumatic injury, or debilitating illness, Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was recognized and earned its place as a top nursing facility.

“While it is always an honor and a privilege to be recognized, they are never the ultimate goal,” said Ronda Pype, Administrator at Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. “Our focus is always on our residents and providing them with the highest level of care during their recovery and restoring their independence. This is accomplished through the tireless effort and commitment by a dedicated staff, and recognitions such as this will aid in holding us to that standard.”

Lake Orion Nursing and Rehabilitation offers a home-like experience, featuring semi-private and private rooms, and a full complement of personalized nursing care while offering comforting amenities, such as an outdoor garden, enclosed patio, and daily activities, among other services. Offering speech, physical, and occupational therapies, and wound care, providers guide residents in their rehabilitation to the point in their recovery when they can be discharged safely and continue their recovery at home.
