McLaren Port Huron, along with its philanthropical arm, the McLaren Port Huron Foundation, are greeting the arrival of the holiday season with the 36th Annual Festival of Trees, a staple event in the community, with this year’s event debuting the Festival of Trees Gala.
Following the success of last year’s display of designer trees throughout downtown Port Huron, several businesses will again host 22 lit trees in their displays along with more than 25 traditionally exhibited in the McLaren Port Huron lobby.
Lit and fully decorated trees will begin to display starting Fri., Nov. 29 and will ultimately be awarded through a raffle.
All proceeds from the series of Festival of Trees events will benefit McLaren Port Huron’s purchase of an advanced 3D CT imaging unit to be used by the hospital’s pulmonologists and orthopedists.
“We are excited to debut the Festival of Trees Gala, a black-tie affair that will kick off the holiday season in style,” said Karynn Carrell, McLaren Port Huron Director of Philanthropy, “and we are pleased to be collaborating with several community partners to expand the downtown activities to add everyone’s holiday excitement. This is an absolutely wonderful time of year, and the Festival of Trees has become a tradition for so many, and we are very proud to be in the position to continue supporting this event.”
