McLaren Caro Region, part of statewide McLaren Health Care and the leading health care provider in Tuscola County, has earned a 2024 Performance Leadership Award from The Chartis Center for Rural Health, a national health care advisory firm.
Inclusion on the list places McLaren Caro Region among the top 25 percent of rural health care providers in quality of care and patient outcomes.
“We’ve always had enormous pride and confidence in the level of care provided by our organization, and the compassion with which it is delivered,” said Connie Koutouzos, McLaren Caro Region President and CEO. “Recognition by Chartis is an accomplishment earned only through the dedication and commitment of our entire team and provides a measure of validation, but it also sets the standard to which we hold ourselves to serve the betterment of our community.”
The Performance Leadership Awards are determined following the assessment of publicly available metrics across a spectrum of factors meaningful to hospital care services. Those are evaluated within the Chartis Rural Health Performance INDEX, a complex framework further appraising the performance of rural hospitals.
Caring the community since 1928, McLaren Caro Region is a full-service hospital focused on expanding its clinical offerings and increasing patients access to that care through clinics throughout the community.
