McLaren Health Care Awards President’s Trophy to McLaren Thumb Region

McLaren Health Care has presented its annual President’s Trophy to McLaren Thumb Region, recognizing the hospital with the statewide health care system’s most prestigious honor as its top-performing subsidiary.

The Bad Axe hospital earned this celebrated recognition through its team’s performance in vital clinical quality and patient safety metrics, while also accounting for patient experience and satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial stewardship.

“Earning the President’s Trophy is a tremendous honor for McLaren Thumb Region, but it is certainly not an award that was earned alone,” said Connie Koutouzos, McLaren Thumb Region President and CEO. “Our hospital is fortunate to have a team of devoted and enthusiastic professionals, and it is their commitment that make achievements like this possible. I am truly grateful for their efforts in caring for our patients, and I am thankful to the leadership team at McLaren Health Care for this recognition.”

The black granite and crystal trophy will stand on public display within McLaren Thumb Region for the next year.

“The team at McLaren Thumb Region has thoroughly demonstrated McLaren’s promise of delivering high-quality, compassionate, and innovative care while providing a critical resource to its community,” said Phil Incarnati, McLaren Health Care President and CEO. “While the exceptional performance of the teams throughout McLaren should also be commended for a remarkable year, our profound congratulations to McLaren Thumb Region on this incredibly deserving award.”

A tradition since 2009 and a physical representation of a staff’s collective accomplishments, McLaren Health Care has awarded annually the President’s Trophy to the McLaren hospital that exceeded its expected performance and achieved the highest overall scores against established goals.
