May is National Trauma Awareness Month. McLaren Northern Michigan urges the public to practice safety when enjoying northern Michigan activities allowed under the Stay Home Executive Order.
“During this COVID-19 pandemic we need to do things that are beneficial for our mental health. We want the public to do the activities that they love to do,” stated Michael Martin, MD, Trauma Medical Director at McLaren Northern Michigan. “The important thing is to make sure that you are following safety practices while enjoying the activities that northern Michigan has to offer.”
As a verified Level II Trauma Center, McLaren Northern Michigan sees an average of 950 traumas each year. The following tips and guidelines will help our community to stay safe:
