McLaren Central Michigan, part of statewide McLaren Health Care and Isabella County’s leading health care provider, is again hosting its annual Health Fair, welcoming the community with opportunities to advance their health by participating in a range of screenings and talk with providers while enjoying a late-summer family fun festival.
The 3rd Annual McLaren Central Michigan Health Fair will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 13 on the hospital’s campus, located at 1221 South Drive, near Brown Street and High Street.
“It is a vital part of our organization’s mission to be community-focused and provide for its health and wellbeing, both inside and outside the hospital,” said Robert David, McLaren Central Michigan President and CEO. “Organizing this event and providing experienced health care professionals for the benefit of this community is a worthy undertaking and one we are proud to commit to.”
Attendees to the Health Fair will be provided the opportunity to immediately evaluate primary aspects of their health thought various screenings, including glucose levels, blood pressure measurements, and balance and strength evaluations, among others.
Providers will be in attendance, volunteering their time and making themselves available to answer questions and have discussions with members of the community to address any health concerns they may have. Health care professionals representing primary care, rehabilitation, orthopedics, and several other commonly used hospital services will be onsite, as will representatives of nearby companies and agencies, who will also be available to meet with attendees.
To round out the event’s fun and family festivities, food trucks and other vendors will be onsite, prize drawings will be hosted, and the Isabella County Medical Care Facility will organize a craft and bake sale.
