No one chooses to have a stroke, but everyone can learn the signs of one. The community is invited to join Aniel Majjhoo, MD, board-certified interventional neurologist, and Medical Director of Neurosciences and the McLaren Stroke Network at McLaren Health Care, for a live webinar to discuss what a stroke is, who is at risk for one, and the importance of learning the signs of stroke. This free educational program is being held on Wednesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. Dr. Majjhoo will take questions following his presentation. To be eligible for the designation, hospitals must demonstrate compliance with stroke-related standards as a Primary Stroke Center and meet additional requirements, including those related to advanced imaging capabilities, 24/7 availability of specialized treatments, and providing staff with the unique education and competencies to care for complex stroke patients.
