From Our Kitchen to the Community, McLaren Flint Gives Back With Food Donations- For six years, volunteers from St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center in Flint have visited McLaren Flint to pick up excess, wholesome food from food services. 

The Community Foundation of Greater Flint introduced McLaren Flint Food and Nutrition Services Director Chris Curtin to the Genesee County Food Rescue program in 2017, and the hospital has participated ever since. Since 2021, the hospital has donated 19,000 pounds of food to the program, which benefits Flint residents in need.
