Emergency Department/Medical Office Building Opens November 7th
McLaren is proud to announce the opening of their new medical office building located at 2110 South M-76 in West Branch. The facility will open at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019. It will feature a free-standing state-of-the-art emergency center with 10 private patient rooms including two trauma/resuscitation rooms equipped with telehealth capabilities, and will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Patients will be able to receive top-notch care led by board certified physicians trained in emergency medicine, registered nurses, techs and other highly skilled providers. Phase one of the new facility will also offer on-site imaging services, including X-ray, CT scanning, ultrasounds, nuclear medicine, as well as an on-site laboratory.
"Our focus will be on delivering excellent patient-centered, quality emergency care to the northern Michigan community,” said Clarence Sevillian, Regional President with McLaren. “Our freestanding emergency department has the same capabilities as hospital-based ERs but without the same wait.”
From the moment patients enter through the main lobby, they will experience a welcoming atmosphere with features such as local photography, calming colors and wall textures, and convenient access to all services.
The new West Branch location sits inside the renovated and repurposed 86,000sf former Kmart building on M-76. Phase one of the project has created 55 jobs in the community. McLaren expects to complete phase two in late 2019, which will also add additional new jobs. Phase two will offer onsite access to specialty services such as cardiology, orthopedics, hematology/oncology, physical medicine and rehab, physical, occupational and speech therapy, neurosurgery, as well as a 24-hour sleep center.
The public is invited to attend a planned open house on Monday, December 2, 2019 between 4-6 p.m. with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m.
