Volunteer at McLaren Caro Region
McLaren Caro Region, like many other active and growing organizations, depends on volunteers to “round out” its services to the community. There are several established ways for citizens to become involved, including the Auxiliary, the Foundation, and the Hospital Board of Trustees.
Auxiliary
The Auxiliary operates the hospital gift shop, holds an annual “Tea” and a “Lighted Tree of Love”, and conducts several other activities designed to raise funds to help support the hospital.
Volunteer With McLaren Caro Region Auxiliary
The Auxiliary at McLaren Caro Region is dedicated to raising funds to support the delivery of quality health care services in the greater Caro area. Members volunteer to work in McLaren Caro Region's Heartfelt Gift Shop, make cookies for different activities that we have and support here at the hospital, host Uniform, Book and Jewelry Sale fundraisers throughout the year, as well as hosting and recruiting for bi-monthly blood drives. The Auxiliary also holds an annual Spring Tea, Raffle, and Lighted Tree of Love event. The money that they raise goes towards equipment that the hospital may need throughout the year.
When you donate to the Hospital Auxiliary, you essentially determine your level of giving based on your own personal financial situation. We will be glad to speak with you about the Hospital’s needs at the time of your call.
Foundation
The McLaren Caro Region Foundation strives to build relationships with staff, donors, physicians, patients and friends. They raise funds through charitable giving in order to support McLaren Caro Region in their mission of improving the health of the communities they serve.
The McLaren Caro Region Foundation began operations in 1984. Volunteers work on behalf of the Foundation to help ensure that McLaren Caro Region continues to provide a high level of health care to the Caro community. Since 1984, they have funded or facilitated the purchase of over $1 million worth of medical and diagnostic equipment for the hospital and clinics.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the hospital, and is composed of civic-minded volunteers from the greater Caro community.
