Leave a Legacy

While today’s gifts make an immediate impact on our efforts, future gifts ensure that your support continues, providing a solid foundation to meet tomorrow’s needs. We invite you to take the next step and make McLaren Bay Medical Foundation’s legacy your own, ensuring that future generations have access to high-quality care, delivered by the very best clinical staff. You can accomplish this with a gift planned through your estate.

Whether your goal is leaving your personal legacy, supporting a clinical area that you feel passionate about, creating a lasting remembrance to a loved one, paying tribute to a physician that made a difference in your life, or lowering your taxes, we can help make your vision a reality. We will partner with you, your family and your financial advisor to help you achieve your personal philanthropic goals

Examples of Planned Gifts from Local Donors

Helen M. Nickless Fund

An endowment has been formed to support the Helen M. Nickless Volunteer Clinic, which provides free health care to those uninsured. Community members continue to support the clinic by making annual donations in its name.

Schur Gift for Emergency Services

In 2009, Marvin & Marian Schur left their entire estate to the Foundation stipulating the funds be specifically used for emergency equipment and services. Through this generous gift, emergency services have received many pieces of equipment and items to help them maintain quality care for their patients.

Orlen J. Johnson Memorial Fund

When Dr. Johnson died in 1985, he and his wife left a substantial gift to the foundation to be used for Medical Education. As a result, a new Health Science Library was opened in March 2013. In addition, several educational grants have been awarded as well.
