McLaren Caro Region is pleased to welcome Lindsay Piche, RN, as the new Program Director for Senior Life Solutions.
Senior Life Solutions, an intensive outpatient group therapy program, is designed to meet the unique needs of senior struggling with age-related depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, a recent health diagnosis, or the loss of a loved one. As Program Director, Lindsay Piche, will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of program staff to ensure quality patient care, and providing community education to create awareness of the program.
Lindsay earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2011 and most recently worked at Medilodge of Cass City as their Director of Nursing.
"We are fortunate to have someone with Lindsay's skillset and background to lead this program," said Matt Rick, Vice President of Operations for McLaren Caro Region. "She has a long history of working with the senior population and knows how important mental healthcare is for them."
Senior Life Solutions helps individuals who have recently experienced any of the following:
- Lost a spouse or close family member
- Recently experienced a traumatic event
- Loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities
- Changes in appetite
- Difficulty sleeping or changes in sleep patterns
- Loss of energy
- Feelings of sadness or grief lasting more than two weeks
- Feelings of worthlessness or hopelessness
- Following an individual assessment, participants meet three times per week in a supportive, encouraging group setting.
The program staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed social workers, a registered nurse, and other professionals dedicated to the emotional well-being of the seniors in our community.
