McLaren Health Care’s Visitor Policy seeks to promote and support a patient –centered and family-centered approach to care and recognizes the importance of involvement of family and significant others in the patient care processes while also maintaining a safe and secure environment. Patients have the right to receive visitors whom they designated, including, but not limited to, a spouse, a domestic partner (including a same-sex domestic partner), another family member, or a friend. Patients also have the right to withdraw or deny such consent at any time. McLaren Health Care will not restrict, limit, or deny visitation privileges based on race, skin color, age, national origin, ancestry, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or disability.
