McLaren Health Care, the statewide health care delivery system with 13 hospitals and a network of care campuses and provider clinics, has acquired Park Medical Centers, a group of primary care practices heavily concentrated in communities throughout Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
The 10 Park Medical Centers clinics, with 21 total providers serving the collective needs of 36,000 men, women, and children, joined McLaren effective Nov. 15.
Park Medical Centers will incorporate into the system as a division of McLaren Medical Group (MMG), McLaren Health Care’s employed provider group. Clinics will maintain their staffs, who will be employed through MMG, with all locations retaining their Park Medical Centers trademark, name, and branding.
“Park Medical Centers has rightly earned a reputation as a provider of quality family care established over its considerable history,” said Philip A. Incarnati, McLaren Health Care President and CEO. “While this enhances McLaren’s presence in southeast Michigan, our intention is for Park Medical Centers to continue its distinction as a reliable, community-based provider to those who have for years trusted in their care, expertise, and guidance.”
Founded by visionary leader Dr. Richard Brown, Park Medical Centers has been a provider of high-quality primary care in Metro Detroit for more than 60 years. Dr. Brown will continue to serve as President and Chief Medical Officer, and Jeffrey Brown, who has spearheaded the group’s expansion, operational excellence, and patient-focused innovations over the past 15 years, will continue to lead as Chief Executive Officer, guiding the organization into its next phase of strategic growth.
“Park Medical Centers has always been dedicated to delivering outstanding, patient-focused care, and this partnership with McLaren Health Care enables us to advance that mission,” Jeffrey Brown said. “With McLaren’s extensive resources and collaboration, we aim to not only enhance services for our current patients but also expand our reach by welcoming more medical providers to our team and integrating additional family medicine and internal medicine practices. Our goal is to enable more patients to experience our exceptional quality of care.”
McLaren Health Care will evaluate and assess the care and operational needs of Park Medical Centers clinics and integrate McLaren services to further serve their patients.
