McLaren Flint is pleased to announce December’s Outstanding Employee of the Month, Joenathan Mays. Joenathan, who is a nurse assistant on 10 South, was presented with a special gift basket on December 20. Colleagues cannot seem to say enough about what an incredible team member Joenathan is.
"Joe exemplifies quality patient care," said a nominator. "When Joe is working, you always know his patients will be out of bed if possible, and he regularly coordinates with the therapy staff on how to get patients stronger."
Joenathan was pleasantly surprised to learn his colleagues nominated him for the honor.
“It was a good feeling. I was thankful to be nominated,” said Joenathan. “I like coming to work with a positive attitude. The best part of my job is taking care of patients and helping their families.”
McLaren Flint managers, directors, and executive leadership nominate Outstanding Employee of the Month candidates. Award criteria are the hospital's mission and core values: contribution to culture and core values, teamwork, going the extra mile, outstanding patient service, performance excellence, and commitment.
