Shownn Blackmer, Operations Manager at the Family Medicine Clinic, is McLaren Flint's February Outstanding Employee of the Month. Shownn has been with McLaren for 28 years, 25 of them here in Flint. She oversees more than 100 family and internal medicine physicians at the clinic. Her work ethic and dedication to graduate medical education inspired Shownn's nomination.
"Shownn is one of the hardest-working, most honest, and most ethical employees I have ever worked with. She always puts patient care above everything else. She also takes care of her staff and loves working with residents and faculty," said her nominator.
Shownn is overwhelmed by the recognition. "I feel very honored. It is very validating," Shownn said. "I enjoy what I do. That's why I have been here all of these years."
McLaren Flint managers, directors, and executive leadership nominate Outstanding Employee of the Month candidates.
