McLaren Health Care has appointed Kimberly Keaton Williams to serve as Chief Diversity Officer for the health system. Keaton Williams currently serves as Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Development, responsible for recruiting and training efforts across McLaren. She will maintain these responsibilities as she assumes leadership for diversity and inclusion practices throughout the corporation.
In her new role as Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Development and Chief Diversity Officer, Keaton Williams will ensure the development of programs and practices to develop a diverse and inclusive workplace and support a culturally competent care team. She is the first individual to hold this role at McLaren.
“We are excited to add these responsibilities to Kimberly’s role,” said William Peterson, McLaren’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources. “We’ve had diversity efforts in place at various subsidiaries, but this new role is an opportunity to share best practices and ensure alignment of important goals related to diversity and inclusion.”
Since joining McLaren in 2018, Keaton Williams has worked to develop structure around McLaren’s diversity and inclusion efforts, including the development of the corporation’s Executive Diversity & Inclusion Council. The council consists of 12 senior-level executives and is chaired by Clarence Sevillian, Regional CEO of McLaren’s Northern Region.
“Kimberly is the ideal person for this role,” said Sevillian. “She has demonstrated a passion for expanding McLaren’s D&I mission and the leadership capabilities to move these efforts forward.”
Prior to joining McLaren Health Care, Keaton Williams served in senior leadership workforce development roles at Tata Technologies and Kelly Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Michigan State University, a MBA from University of Michigan and she is a Certified Diversity Professional as awarded by the National Diversity Council.
Keaton Williams serves on the board of directors of Inforum and The Rhonda Walker Foundation. She and her husband reside in West Bloomfield, Mich., and are the proud parents of two children.
