McLaren Flint is pleased to announce March’s Outstanding Employee of the month, Ashley Hicks, RN. Hicks was presented the honor by hospital leadership on March 22, 2022.
“I must say it is nice to be recognized for all your hard work and to know it doesn’t go unnoticed,” said Hicks. “Most of all I am so thankful to work with such a great team."
Patient care is what I love most about nursing, getting to spend time with each of my patients. Helping them heal, reach their goals, and even be the support they need as they make very tough decisions regarding their health.”
>Her manager stated, “Ashley is a calm and collected individual. She is an excellent preceptor on our unit, teaching students and new staff about patient care. She is an outstanding nurse who shows compassion and empathy to her patients who she always puts first. She is a consistent professional in her interactions with physicians, and all other staff she encounters. She constantly goes above and beyond for her patients.”
The Outstanding Employee of the Month candidates are nominated by managers, directors, and McLaren Flint’s executive leadership team. Criteria for nomination are based on the hospital’s mission and core values: contribution to culture and core values, teamwork, going the extra mile, outstanding patient service, performance excellence, and commitment.
