Diane Wenninger, BSN, MSA, has been named chief nursing officer at McLaren Oakland, the 328-bed acute care hospital in Pontiac.
She assumes her role effective January 6, 2020.
“McLaren Oakland is an outstanding place to receive care and I am excited to work with a very caring and committed nursing staff,” Wenninger said. “I look forward to collaborating with our physicians and teams to continually advance our care and services.”
Wenninger brings years of nursing experience to her position, most recently as a service line director in the Beaumont system. Previously, she spent over 20 years within the DMC system with progressive leadership roles including a dual role at Sinai Grace Hospital as administrator of the emergency department and women and infant health services.
Wenninger has a strong operational and finance background, in addition to her leadership skills and talents. She holds a BSN from Mercy College and a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University.
In her role as chief nursing officer, she will provide leadership and direction to McLaren Oakland’s nurses, creating a positive, collaborative and patient-focused work environment.
