McLaren Clarkston announced today that Carrie Wheeler, manager of specialty services at the Clarkston campus on Sashabaw, will serve a one-year term as the president of the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Wheeler has been a supporter of the Clarkston community for many years. She has been a member of the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce for 11 years and in November of this year was awarded the President’s Award. This award is given to the Chamber member that the current president feels best exemplifies the Chamber spirit. Their contribution of time, talent and leadership are exceptional.
Clarkston Chamber executive director, Shaun Hayes, said, “Though I’ve only been with the Chamber a short time, I know how valuable Carrie is as part of our board. Her keen attention to detail and continued support of all our events helps to keep our organization moving in the right direction. We look forward to having her as our president in 2020.”
