McLaren Flint has streamlined its process for transferring patients to the acute care hospital with the creation of the One Call Transfer Center. The center creates a single point of contact for patient transfers to ensure continuity of care and expedite access to critical services available at McLaren Flint including critical care, comprehensive stroke care, surgical subspecialties, cardiovascular services, and more.

24/7 Expedited Service

  • One Call to transfer or admit for emergency departments, acute care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and from physician offices.
  • Available 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year
  • Calls are answered by a nursing supervisor, who facilitates physician-to-physician contact and oversees the process from call-to-admission.
  • Manages the process from beginning to end.
  • The center can assist with transportation by ambulance or helicopter if needed.
  • Our goal is to accept the transfer within 15 minutes of a call.
