McLaren Flint is pleased to announce August’s Outstanding Employee of the Month, Jake Moss, Emergency Room Manager. Moss was presented the honor by hospital leadership on August 30, 2022.
“Receiving this award was a wonderful surprise, and it validates all the hard work of the Emergency Department team,” said Moss. “I am grateful for the kind words and recognition from hospital leadership.”
Prior to becoming Emergency Room Manager, Moss’s RN experience included time at the McLaren Lapeer Region Emergency Department, 4 Central Surgical Care Unit, and most recently as Assistant Nurse Manager for 12 South/6 Central.
Patient Care Services-Critical Care Director Jodi Stein stated that Jake has been a wonderful addition to the Emergency Department team. “Jake has done a tremendous job beginning to implement changes in Emergency Department processes, said Stein. “He is always willing to go that extra mile, and he puts the patient first. We really appreciate him!”
Jennifer Sear, Director of Patient Experience, adds that “Jake truly is a team player and an outstanding employee. He is the poster child for an awesome teammate, who's always going above and beyond to help out.”
The Outstanding Employee of the Month candidates are nominated by managers, directors, and McLaren Flint’s executive leadership team. Criteria for nomination are based on the hospital’s mission and core values: contribution to culture and core values, teamwork, going the extra mile, outstanding patient service, performance excellence, and commitment.
