Primary Care Provider Carolyn Wiese, PA-C, has joined McLaren Northern Michigan – Mitchell Park Family Medicine, located at 2390 E. Mitchell Park Drive, Suite D in Petoskey.
Carolyn received her Master of Science in Medicine from Western Michigan University. She came to McLaren Northern Michigan from Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. She also teaches Physician Assistant board review courses and was an adjunct professor at the University of New England during the time she lived in Maine.
Practicing primary care medicine allows Carolyn to get to know not just her patients’ health, but their interests, challenges, and struggles. This allows her to be their advocate for health care options. “Medicine is a humbling profession. I am privileged and honored to make a difference in my patients’ lives,” stated Carolyn.
A Utica, MI native, Carolyn is an animal lover and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys kayaking, hiking, and ice-fishing. Family-focused, she loves spending time with her many nieces and nephews. “I am really happy to be back home in Michigan. This is a great state with wonderful people and opportunities. My husband and I are looking forward to getting more involved in the community and experiencing what northern Michigan has to offer,” expressed Carolyn.
