Urologist Matthew A. Rohloff, DO, has joined McLaren Northern Michigan Urology Services located at 560 West Mitchell Street, Suite 160, in Petoskey, MI.
Raised in Walled Lake, Michigan, Dr. Rohloff received his bachelor’s degree in physiology at Michigan State University Honors College in East Lansing. He received his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine Spartanburg, South Carolina and completed five years of residency training in urology from the University of Michigan Health – West in Grand Rapids where he:
- Won the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Chief Resident Achievement Award in 2020
- Had 17 peer reviewed publications on prostate cancer, robotic video techniques and kidney stones, with multiple ongoing research projects
- Presented research at regional and national conferences and have achieved multiple awards for research and literary excellence
Dr. Rohloff will practice all facets of general urology, with core interests in urologic oncology, minimally invasive robotic surgery and male sexual health.
“After interviewing with the urology staff and McLaren leadership, it was clear that there is a vast need for urologic care in this region,” said Dr. Rohloff. “There is a great team atmosphere and working environment that I am excited to be a part of.”
Outside of practicing medicine you will find Dr. Rohloff spending time with his wife and two children, playing golf, table tennis and enjoying Michigan State athletics.
